What do I need to make this recipe?

  • Sushi grade Ahi tuna steaks

  • Olive Oil

  • Low sodium soy sauce (can also use regular)

  • Jalapeños

  • Cilantro

  • Ginger

  • Lime

  • Garlic

How should I cut a tuna steak?

Against the grain! This helps keep that tender texture you recognize in ahi tuna.

Do I have to use low sodium soy sauce?

Nope, I just tend to like this recipe with low sodium soy sauce more, so the salt doesn’t overpower the fish.

I don’t like things too spicy, how much jalapeño should I use?

Totally up to you, you can always leave the jalapeños out completely, but I think they add an amazing flavor, so you could start with half the amount and see what you think!

How do I serve this?

There are so many great ways to serve this ginger soy tuna, the options are limitless! I typically serve with rice and a vegetable, or on top of a salad.
